PGm foundation: empowering Texas youth through education and agriculture

Everything begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online or otherwise can make all the difference.

PGM Foundation began as an idea by our Founder and CEO, Virginia S. Griffin. As a mother, native Texan and entrepreneur, Virginia is a huge supporter of higher education and rodeo life. One of the ways that she gave back to Texas youth was sponsoring calf scramble participants. What initially began as an opportunity to partner with various rodeo events and cook off competitions for marketing purposes, turned into a rewarding relationship with numerous Texas youth that gained awards towards their stock show project. However, Virginia saw a need that had to be filled. In most cases, the stock show projects would cost more than available funds for these kids. So Virginia decided to put a plan into action and created PGM Foundation with two objectives:

  • Establish a scholarship fund for under served students such as sophomore, junior and senior undergrad students.

  • Provide sponsorship aid for stock show project students that present a financial need to maintain the project to avoid outside or part-time employment that detracts from school studies and projects.

Due to the growth of the foundation, Virginia partners with Sophilia Scott, Donald Morant Jr, and Kasaia Jackson as the Board of Directors for PGM. This dynamic team has produced exponential growth and we look forward to continued success with this board at the helm.
